Global Prayer Targets
We Must Not Stop Praying!
Thank you for praying so faithfully for the transition taking place since America's election of a new President. The Bible clearly tells us in I Timothy 2:1-3 that we are to make "supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks for all those in authority so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.” A friend recently told me that an elected official said of the Body of Christ, "You pray us into office and then we are left alone." We must not stop praying!
If your nation is having elections this year, let us know so that we can join you to see God's man or woman elected to service in your nation. As we draw closer to the return of Christ, it is important that we have the men and women chosen by God to lead the nations of the world. (Jane Hansen Hoyt, March 15 Facebook post)
God is separating us. He is cleansing us and turning us to Himself in deeper ways. There is a longing in our hearts for His Holiness and purity. When I speak of Holiness, I am not talking about legalism, religious activity that brings self-righteousness or some kind of self-effort. We understand that the whole Christian life is a life lived spontaneously before the Lord…because the life of the Lord is within us. Truly, “it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” We trust that life. . . . We speak of miracles, signs and wonders. They will flow out of our lives easily as we continue to allow the Spirit of God to further cleanse us from the world. He is forming a people for Himself, a people for His glory, a people of Holiness and a people who will carry the power of His glory in our beings. . . . My heart is bursting with longing to enter into this place with God. It is not a feeling of condemnation, but of exhilaration. God is cutting through the desert channel of my heart to pour more of Himself in. Will you join me? (Jane Hansen Hoyt, excerpt from "Sweet Waters")
