Jill Bixby, Aglow Eastern WA Area Team, is rejoicing over a recent unexpected double blessing.
Jill writes, “Our Aglow retreat is coming up, and we wanted to make sure that each of the Lighthouses in our Area have retreat flyers to hand out at meetings. We wanted to keep costs down, but also wanted to make sure each Lighthouse has enough, so we ended up ordering 200 flyers.”
“When I picked the flyers up from the local printing company, they handed me a box, and I paid and left. Later when I opened the box to divide up and distribute the flyers, I realized there were WAY too many. So I counted them and the printer had given us over 400 flyers! (418 to be precise.) So now we have more than enough, not only for each of the Lighthouses, but having the extras enables us (and encourages us) to expand our influence by inviting people outside of our typical sphere of influence and comfort zone.”
“We WILL give out each and every one of those extra flyers, because we know that God is asking us to enlarge the place of our tent, and stretch the tent curtains wide. We do not hold back, but we lengthen our cords and strengthen our stakes! (Isaiah 54:2) Not only were we blessed by the double portion, but we know that God will use that to bless others, by reaching out further than we had imagined and drawing new people in to Aglow, to the Kingdom, and to Himself.”
