Recently, many Aglow friends of Margaret Hopkins surprised her as they gathered at her retirement center in Salem, Oregon to honor her and express their appreciation for more than 40 years of faithful leadership in the Aglow Oregon North Area.
Margaret served on local leadership teams and on the Area Team since she first became a member of Aglow in the early 70’s. Margaret still serves as an intercessor for the Salem Aglow Lighthouse.
Three members of the original Salem Aglow Board joined the gathering as well as many others who have served many years together. Each woman shared about the joys of serving together in Aglow, and how they grew in the Lord and leadership. Their unconditional love for each other was evident to all.
Margaret was pleased as Wanda Frank, Oregon North Area Team President, presented her with a Certificate of Faithfulness prepared by Aglow International and signed by Jane Hansen Hoyt. A photograph book compiled of photos from the past times of fellowship and ministry was also presented to her.
Aglow has always been a multi-generational ministry, and it’s a blessing to honor those who have paved the way in leadership and in mentoring the younger generations.
