After receiving an email invitation to attend the Aglow "A” Celebration event for “A” Company donors at the 2014 US National Conference in Albuquerque, NM, Shirley Fetherolf sent a response to Laurie Lischke, Aglow Executive Director - Fund Development, explaining that while she had a great desire to attend the conference, she was battling cancer in its advanced stages. The cancer had come on suddenly taking Shirley and her husband, Dan, by surprise.
Reading the response, Laurie was filled with compassion for Shirley and responded to her email with the following prayer:
Father God, thank you for Shirley and for her heart after you. Thank you that your love for her has no end. Thank you for touching her right now. I declare a healing touch over her entire body. Come Holy Spirit and heal her from this cancer. Hold her through it. Be her strength. Give the doctors wisdom in her care. Give her peace in the days ahead. Thank you that you will never leave her and that you will keep her in perfect peace in the days ahead. Bless her family, give them strength and peace as they walk this with her. I bless you Lord for who you are and for your tender touch upon Shirley today. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Laurie rejoiced to see how God had moved on Shirley’s behalf when she receive this encouraging response from Shirley.
Shirley writes, “Since I received this email, my health has dramatically improved. My husband and I now plan to drive to Albuquerque and can register onsite. Please put our names down for the “A” Celebration event.”
