In a report to the Headquarters Office Aglow Sri Lanka National President, Vasanthi Jaywardene, tells about a recent Local Fellowship outreach event in her nation.
Vasanthi writes,
I want to share some exciting news. One of our Aglow Local Fellowships hosted a "Coffee morning with Jesus" on the 19th of February where they were asked to invite their non-Christian friends. We were amazed by the turnout. There were 70 in attendance, most of them from a denominational religion. I shared an evangelistic message from John 4 on the Samaritan woman and about the transforming power of Jesus. When the altar call was given nearly 30 women came forward to give their lives to Jesus. We believe this is a fresh move of the Holy Spirit to bring in the harvest. We are praying how we could meet with them on a regular basis and teach them God's word.
This story is an example of the Holy Spirit moving in a Local Fellowship in the small nation of Sri Lanka. It is confirmation of a word spoken over Aglow by Chuck Pierce during the 2017 Aglow Jubilee Conference in Richmond, Virginia when he said that the Holy Spirit would be moving throughout Asia in these times. It is the “Right Time” for the harvest of souls in the Asian nations and the world!
