The Matteson Single Moms Generation Group hosted 55 moms, 70 children, and 56 teens for a special Christmas event in 2023. The room was beautifully decorated with a lovely Christmas tree, a snowman, and giant Christmas ornaments. The refreshment table was filled with delicious cupcakes, cookies, snacks, and holiday punch.
Patricia Dunlap, Generations Fascinator, along with the others on the team greeted the moms and their children as they came in. Each family had a giant Christmas sack filled with toys for their children. The moms and kids were super happy!
There was a nice selection of winter coats and each mom could try one on and take it home with them. Each mom, also received a special gift bag with a present. A local church had people available to pray with each family. The excitement and joy that filled the room was tangible.
One of the moms said, “I thought this event was awesome! It was such a blessing for myself and my daughter. The gift bag filled with toys helped a lot of families. The special prayer over my family was so wonderful.”
