Recently, Chaplain Kibben, hosted a Ministry and Faith Fair in the Cannon Office Building on Capitol Hill. As different Aglow groups came into Washington, D.C., Chaplain Kibben's has been able to meet with some of them.
In 1994, Kathy Gillard had a vision of a quilt with a huge star in the middle. The red center of the star represented the blood of Jesus. Each point - one yellow, one brown, one white, one black, and one red represented each of the global races.
Carol Ronek writes, "When I found Aglow 50 years ago last month, I knew it was my place to serve for the rest of my life. I was not disappointed in that at all. I learned more through Aglow than anywhere else!
In April this year, the East Central Pennsylvania Area Team joined with the Northeast Philadelphia Lighthouse and had a Day of Outreach to the 7th and 2nd District Philadelphia Police Departments.
Fran Hallgren, Assistant Director of Aglow Transformations, will be joined by Alaska Aglow and others on a short-term mission trip with Aglow International June 23-30, 2023, to reach the remote Native villages of Tigigak (Point Hope), which is so far out in the wilderness that they receive little attention.
As Cathy Caylor, Regional Director of the Northeast Region, prepared for the annual prayer journey into Washington, DC, she heard the Lord say that this time the team would be “Warriors marching with the Love of God, the Light of God, and the Power of God!”
In April, Gwen Campbell, Region Director of the Mid-Atlantic Region, led a group to Washington, DC. Gwen stated, “I want to encourage those in other regions to step up when you hear that your region is going into DC to pray. God provides, protects, and what He sends you to do is accomplished.”
Earlier this year, an Aglow woman was expecting to receive a large amount of money. She told God that when that money came, she would tithe off of it to Aglow. Sure enough, the money came, and true to her word, she sent in a tithe.
When Marilyn Thiessens became President of the Utah South Area Team, she did not have a clue that she soon would be leading the only Area Team in Utah. Now she LOVES to start new Lighthouses!”
A group of women in Washington State are going through GameChangers together and having so much fun getting to know each other. They write, “In our last two meetings, God has brought pockets of joy to us….”
After completing LifeChangers one of Cindy Hart’s upgrades was to learn that He gives us every situation as an opportunity for upgrading our thinking as He pulls us upward from glory to glory, transforming us into the image of His Son.
Recently, Nona Minyard, State Prayer Coordinator for Arkansas posted a picture of warm hats that she was knitting for the homeless in her hometown of Redfield and surrounding areas. When an Aglow staff member commented on them, Nona sent a box of 20 hats for us to distribute in Seattle.
Suzy Mellen serves on the California State Prison Team as the VP of Ministry Development. Suzy is living proof that whom the Son sets free is free indeed. (John 8:36)
