On August 2nd Aglow Venezuela held a workshop at their Aglow headquarters in Maracaibo entitled, “Honor y Honra al Espíritu” (Honor and Glory to the Spirit) to glorify the God who "magnificently directs our lives".
Gustavo Pérez, Advisor to the National Board, spoke on the gifts that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit granted to the church. Nelda Castellano, Aglow Venezuela National President, shared about the Fruit of the Spirit.
The morning started with recitations of the psalms, followed by short theatrical performances focused on the words of Jesus from Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.
Those present were reminded to stir up the fire of the gifts within, and about the truth that the Spirit who anointed Jesus is the same Spirit who lives within them. By that same Spirit, God wants to make Himself known to the nation by spreading the Gospel in Venezuela through the Aglow ministry.
The morning culminated in special ministry to the sick, those who wanted to renew their commitment to the Lord, and those who made the decision to accept Jesus as the Savior of their lives.
