oncology ward Latvia Aglow Latvia is reaching out to the hurting, needy, and lonely in many surrounding villages preaching the gospel and meeting practical needs.

  • Aizkuja - Aglow Latvia received a call from the people in this former Soviet village to “bring the life of Jesus Christ to these people that feel forgotten”.  The team responded to the call bringing the joyful news of the gospel along with warm clothes for children and seniors.
  • Riga – Once a month the Aglow Latvia team ministers to pediatric cancer patients in the Riga National Children’s Hospital Oncology Department.  Groups from Aglow Lecava and Aglow Tervete pray, bless, and minister to them. Lasma Shastakovichs, Aglow Latvia National President writes, “At every meeting some souls get saved. Jesus imparts hope each time we visit because we have such a wonderful God who cares, forgives, and helps. An Aglow member who is a nurse in the unit has started a children’s Bible study with the patients.”
  • Garoza – The Aglow Latvia Team was warmly welcomed by this village who no longer have a church in which to meet.
  • Audripi – When Aglow Latvia visited this village souls were saved, hope was renewed, and residents met together in unity.
  • Zorgi – In Zorgi, Aglow Latvia has monthly meetings, Bible studies, and prayer groups.  The Team plans to partner with Samaritan’s Purse for a gift distribution.

  • Restores people to a radiant place of relationship with God and one another
