In a recent communication to the Aglow Headquarters Office, Aglow Botswana sent greetings and a report of the national celebration of their independence on September 30, 2016. This year marked the 50-year anniversary of the independence of Botswana from the United Kingdom in 1966.
In honor of the jubilee anniversary, Aglow Botswana held an all-night prayer vigil at the Botswana National Stadium including Pentecostal churches and non-denominational Christian organizations who joined with the youth to pray for the country.
The Evangelical Fellowship of Botswana and Aglow International Botswana held a Jubilee Conference from September 6-10, 2016. The theme of the conference was “Fathers Prophetic Declaration Conference”.
Smitta Moalosi, Aglow Botswana National Committee President writes, “The older fathers (Pastors) came over to Botswana to declare blessings over young pastors and leaders in the body of Christ for the next 50 years. The older fathers spoke prophetically, prayed for the country and the coming generation. The Botswana National flag was prayed for and the Spirit of God was mighty. The church is taking its position from the Word of God and the Aglow community is globally pleading their case before the Father. Botswana will never be the same.”
