gift“This has been a good year for Eastern Oklahoma Aglow,” writes Joyce Mow, Area Team President. We are pleased to report some of the activities that have taken place:

Atoka Community Lighthouse: The women held a pastor's appreciation meeting for pastors in Atoka. The pastors and their wives who came were blessed with a meal and good fellowship. After the meal, the Aglow women washed their feet. They received prayer and many words of encouragement. The outreach was a success. They saw walls demolished and healing come in some areas.

Tahlequah Community Lighthouse: The Lighthouse gave gifts for the men's shelter at Christmas.

Tulsa Community Lighthouse: Their outreach this year was to MEND Crisis Pregnancy Center. Several items such as clothes, diapers, and baby wipes were donated.

Vinita Community Lighthouse: In April, a "Spring Fling Tea" was held. The speaker was raised as a Muslim, became a Christian and is now married. Many women received ministry. The Lighthouse has also become a supporter for the Vinita Crisis Center. Christmas gifts were provided for the children who pass through the center.

Sand Springs Community Lighthouse: This Lighthouse ministers to students at Page Academy. These are students who do not function well in public school. The Aglow women are helping in a Life Skills class. They are teaching the students how to sew and cook, giving information on banking, insurance and how to service and take care of a car. They help at special occasions, taking food and special treats for the students. They also give scholarships to some of the students. Bibles were donated to Freedom House in Checotah, along with gently used or new clothes.

Ramona Neighborhood Lighthouse: Their outreach was to make survivor kits to give out to people in the community. They also blessed the workers at City Hall, the firemen and policemen by giving them cookies.

Olmulgee Neighborhood Lighthouse: The women have an outreach to a nursing home once a month where they visit and share love with everyone. They also visited the police station and prayed with those on duty. Each summer they rent a booth at a Food Market and give free bottles of water with an Aglow brochure and pray for people. Additionally, this Lighthouse had a Christmas outreach at a pregnancy center by inviting the Moms and giving baby gifts.
