Friendship Evangelism is a perfect example of an apostolic call to pioneer new works based on relationship rather than function. It is a lifestyle to be lived rather than a goal to be obtained. If every believer would lay hold of the place they work and live we could change the atmosphere in communities around the world.
As the ministry of Aglow is shifting, it is no surprise to hear that our former Love Your Neighbor/Friendship Evangelism program has naturally been folded into the Transformation department.
The core belief of both groups has been that evangelism is not a program to be worked, but a lifestyle to be lived in neighborhoods, communities, the market place, and on the world scene. Since 2007, under the leadership of Janet Mangum, Transformation Director, many lives have been touched by teams of Aglow men, women, and teens, who have left a tangible imprint of the Kingdom of Heaven in their nations.
We look forward to experiencing Transformation anew in the U.S as well as in other nations. We believe that this will strengthen Aglow’s commitment to see all people restored to a radiant place of relationship with God and one another.
