During this time when the whole world is being quarantined at home we all are relying on all the various types of social media to help us stay connected. It has been a joy to hear from Aglow leaders around the world telling us how they are keeping the “Aglow flame” burning brightly in their nations.
In a recent letter from our National President for Aglow Netherlands, Phia Kamp, she writes:
On May 15, 2020 we (our Aglow National Board) are planning to have a National Training Day for all Aglow participants. Because we cannot meet together now during the COVID-19 quarantine, we will use the private part of YouTube.
We will have a program with greetings, encouragement, training and questions, opening new possibilities!
We all love the videos from Jane Hansen Hoyt. We add Dutch subtitles to the videos and post them on our Aglow Netherlands YouTube channel.
New possibilities indeed! Our prayer is that we all will use this time of quarantine to draw closer to God. Chuck Pierce has called this a “Forced Sabbath”. Jane has said this is time of reset. We are a global community and God has gotten the attention of us all. He is taking us to a new place and it is a time to be joyfully expectant as we walk into the promises He has given to us.
We know God did not cause this pandemic to befall the whole world, but He has our attention. And He will surely use this time for our good and for His Glory!
