Rio Olympic Games of 2016 are Over

runnerThere were boos of sadness when the International Olympic Committee President, Thomas Bach, announced: “I declare the Games of the XXXI Olympiad closed.”

Boos of sadness could be heard from my home, as well. Tony and I loved watching this memorable event in which runners, swimmers, gymnasts, and other skilled athletes from around the world, come together in a sportsmanlike atmosphere and compete for the prize of a gold, silver or bronze medal.

There were so many wonderful wins in these games. Those participating had lived such disciplined lives, training for months and years. Now the moment of opportunity had finally come to possibly win the prize of gold, silver or bronze!

I never cease to be amazed at what God has wrought in the earth through a work He initiated back in 1967. Aglow International celebrates 48 years of ministry this year and continues to reach into the nations of the world to Testify of Him!

The level of commitment, by both women and men, to the ministry of Aglow around the world is unprecedented.

For Such a Time as This

Waves-webThis past week Aglow issued another global call to prayer. There were over 820 phone lines connected and there were many others participating in this significant time of prayer, as we lifted our voices on behalf of the Jewish people, the nation of Israel and other current day issues.

Let me share some of the comments made following that call.

“Such strength and power could be felt over the phone lines from the amazing prayers being led by the Holy Spirit. It was a night we were all privileged to be a part of. I am so grateful for this opportunity to be a warrior-intercessor. “
