Vision and Revelation from Jane Hansen Hoyt

There’s No Negativity in Heaven

I am absolutely overtaken with the truth that Jesus took all negativity. He bore it in His body and took it to Calvary so we could be free.

He took all our afflictions - mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual.

So, the curse of living in negative ways, of being hooked by negative thoughts and of tainting the atmosphere around us with negative speaking has been broken by His sacrifice.

Old Truths Revealed Anew
How is it that we have not seen this truth before in its depths? How is it that so many have walked through life with negativity being a core aspect of their thought life which then becomes the basis of their speaking and behaving?

Seriously, when you begin to see the revelation of truth regarding this area of negativity, and the fact that “the curse of living in negative ways has been broken by His sacrifice”, you will be staggered at how deeply society as well as the Church has lived in this pattern of thought and speech.

A Way that Leads to Death
We have negative ways of relating that lead to soulish, negative hookups between people and those hookups lead to death - not life.

Humor is often quite negative. Sarcasm is an obvious way that expresses life’s concerns and happenings in a negative way, too. We laugh at such “humor” and yet we walk away empty rather than uplifted or strengthened in our walk with Jesus. It’s like eating junk food filled with empty calories that keep us in an unhealthy state physically.

We blame our reactions and ways of thinking on our DNA. “It’s just the way I am” is our line of defense. “My mother was like this,” or “my father had a sharp tongue.” Therefore, “I have inherited such traits and it just comes out of who I am.” Others apply this tactic to their current living condition as justification for why they think, act, and speak as they do.

New Life
However, the truth of God’s Word indicates otherwise. Jesus didn’t just come to save us only so we could go to Heaven one day. When God put Christ in us, He did so that we might live by another nature – His Divine nature. That nature cancelled out our old nature by sacrifice. We have been given a new nature so that we might express Jesus on earth. It’s why we were made in His image.

We don’t have to stay stuck in the tyranny of the past or the ways of past generations, or even our own inclinations. We have been given a new DNA. With our new identity comes a new nature. Are we going to let the old nature or the new nature rule our lives?

I’m telling you, God is after every bit of carnality that expresses itself through us. God is reprograming our inner pre-disposition so that our internal disposition is focused on the nature of God. Everything we need already exists in Christ and is transferred into our life by the Holy Spirit as we receive from His fullness.

Our old nature is dead and the new nature is learning to abide in Christ.

How will you choose to live? It’s decision time.

Revelation Brings Reordered Thinking

Amen & Amen! We are new creatures in Christ, for the old man has been crucified and there is a new man whose image is in the likeness of Christ. We must learn to guard our words by allowing the Holy Spirit to speak through us; by not allowing any corrupt communication to go from our mouths - it doesn't come over night, only as we submit our tongues to the Holy Spirit! Our behavior, attitudes and tongues can only be tamed through much prayer and studying of the word, and of course a willingness to submit our spirit, soul and indeed our bodies to the Holy Spirit. We must submit daily, as long as we are in these bodies. We already have the victory and can master this very important component, if you will.

Thank you for bringing this out in the open to remind all of us as Christians of our responsibility to influence people by the way we live, as well as with our words, based on the scriptures, as the Lord would have us share. I don't have an Aglow Lighthouse located near me, so I appreciate the articles you write and email every month. Please know that you are making a difference on the internet, for other believers like me who may not have the opportunity to be a part of a local Aglow Fellowship group. It is wonderful that when we come to know Christ, He helps us change to become Christ-like so that we can become the best we can be and also be a blessing to others in spite of our circumstances, which can often be negative because of our fallen world. Thanks again for your encouraging words; I sometimes read them over 3 or 4 times to let them "sink in" - just wanted you to know that it really does help! You are appreciated! In 2011 I remember challenging myself to read the book of Ephesians (only 6 chapters) several times a week, for a month. I discovered that I had almost "naturally memorized" the scriptures in that way at the end of that particular month. Also the same with the book of Philippians (only 4 chapters). Hope this helps anyone out there who might be looking for a way to study the scriptures.

I agree. The finished work of the cross is just that: finished. complete. period. God is changing our opinion of others & our opinion of ourselves to HIS opinion. He is awakening His Bride. The first thing you do when you wake up is open your eyes.
Holy Spirit is giving us eyes to see
You & Me, in unity
with the Holy Trinity,
He in you & He in me
a Holy "We" that will agree.
According to Christian Dr. Aiko's research & it has been scientifically proven that we have not one but 3 brains.
One in our head, heart & gut. And Scripture tells us in Proverbs 23:7
"For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." We are going to awaken to who we really are in Him.
Our Abba Papa promised Jesus a beautiful Bride. Jesus is awakening us with the Fathers Kiss. And we are opening our eyes to see & only do what the Father is doing. I heard someone say & it rings true: "It is NOT humble to disagree with God" Thank you for your most thoughtful post Jane, Keep spurring us on to greatness & to be ALL that we already ARE in Him!

"Negativity"? I don't know. I'm tired. Is that "negative"? I'm worn out. I've continued to praise God in the midst of hardships for a very long time. I've endured. I've persevered. "Long-suffering". I don't want to suffer anymore. Is that "negative"? I continue to claim my wife's healing. By His stripes she IS (already) healed of multiple sclerosis. She's already healed in the kingdom of God; it's just that the healing is not manifesting "in the earth realm". And we're tired. Our eight year old daughter has been saying for years, "Wouldn't it be great if we could all wake up tomorrow, on the feast of Passover, and dance and sing and praise God because Mommy wakes up healed!?" I cannot / will not stand before the congregation and announce that God's healing has manifested when it clearly has not. Is that "negative"? I work out of town, and my wife is at home alone and falls (because of m.s.) when my daughter is at school, hitting her head on the hard tile floor. That makes me angry! Is that "negative"? Jesus said, "Signs and wonders will follow those who believe". They're not following me. Are they following you? The Lord said, "Because I go to the Father, you will do greater works than I." Are you doing greater works than the Lord did? If not, why not? If God wants me to give Him glory and praise in the congregation and in the marketplace for His mighty works in my life, then why doesn't He do them, that others may come unto a saving knowledge of His grace by my testimony? Jesus said, "If you love your life in this world, you will lose it; if you hate your life in this world, you will find it." Alright. I hate my life. Is that "negative"?

Yes ... I once decided to read and pray ...meditate on one psalm every morning ...... finally, inside I got so fed up of waiting to have a deeper sense of God with me ... like here in daily life as knowing and understanding ------ I stop my psalm morning meditation for a few days..... gtrumbling and mumbling ..... ranting inside was shaking like a thunder bolt in snow storm.

Then .... one day, ...there was a consideration within .... a lure or drawing I had to go back and start again with the next psalm ........

For the director of music. A psalm of David. 13
1 How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? 2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me? 3 Look on me and answer, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death; 4 my enemy will say, "I have overcome him," and my foes will rejoice when I fall. 5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. 6 I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me.

.... it was as if, I had been the one who walked away.... and I heard, ....a voice within saying I am always with you. I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Dan,
I have been where you are...the trial was not a spouse with MS but something also not curable without a miracle. I was tired and I was angry. And I recently received a miracle of God's peace. I literally threw up my arms and said "Jesus I give this to you. I can't do it anymore" before going to sleep. When I awoke I had peace I have not had ever. It is peace that passes all understanding and I have hope again. And it is living in this miracle that my spouse has also started to improve. God is a God of miracles and it's not just for me. Being honest with God and crying out to Him is what David did in the Psalms and he was a man after God's own heart. Praying that peace and hope are restored for you.

Thanks for sharing. No, you are not 'negative'- neither are you 'positive' in the New Covenant way. I mean this in the most loving and gentle way. Can I explain?
The Old Covenant(under OT law) said, in effect, we must do, do, do in order to receive our blessings.
BUT under the new Covenant, Jesus has done, done, done,-- everything for us. There's nothing left for us to do but REST, REST, REST.
You have been 'doing' too much in the form of confessing, praising, etc. etc. Nothing wrong in doing all these things ; but they can become a formula in themselves. They have become' the Law 'all over again.
At some stage or the other, we have all slipped into this pattern. Usually it's when we're in desperate situations, as you are.

When someone is seriously ill, the whole family and household tend to revolve around the sick person. We tend to feel guilty we can't do enough for them.Since you are a sincere and very loving husband, you have taken the whole burden for her healing on yourself. That's why you feel so fed up, exhausted and ready to give up. Please do so-- LET GO.enter his Sabbath REST. That's what Jesus says to you. RElAX, let go. ENJOY your time with the LOrd.He knows your heart. Her healing will manifest when you've LET GO and LET GOD. He longs to take over the responsibility of looking after you and your family
REdiscover Him as your peace, rest-giver, and comforter.
Your over- anxiety and fatigue may also be spilling over on to your daughter and wife-.one more reason to Let Go.
At this time, could I make a suggestion which may help you? Do listen to plenty of Grace teaching. There are some great, genuine Grace Preachers on TV, the internet, books, CD's, DVD's etc.Joseph Prince, Escape to REality.org(Paul Ellis-a blog). john sheasby, Stephen Mcvey - are some I can recommend.
i do hope this has been of some help to you.
My prayers are with your family and for complete healing for your wife.

Dearest Jane,

Today, I opened your Feb, Letter....
and when I only saw the word at the end .... I Felt this surge within
of understanding ...as a vision of right now..

somehow I felt I must share with you what came to me: please forgive me if it makes no sense to your day. I will also read this letter, but will send this first ... with love and grace, Nancy

Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. Isaiah 60:1,2 (NKJV

I have put My words in your mouth. See, this day, I have set you over the nations and over the kingdoms to root out, to pull down, to destroy, to throw down, to build, and to plant. I am ready to perform My word. Jeremiah1:9-10; 12

I believe we have come to a culminating point where this new understanding is to be our walk.

We are called to be over the nations...every cell nation in our flesh must die. We are over the kingdoms... every thought kingdom in our thinking and in hearing must surrender. To root out, to pull down, to destroy, to throw down, to build, and to plant (.....to LET it BE). A few verses later it says, Therefore, prepare y.our--> SELF and arise and speak to them-(-> what you think your BEing is) ....all I command. Do not be dismayed before their faces -(--> your fleshy nature and essence), lest I dismay you before them. For behold, I have made you this day, a fortified city and an iron pillar……they(every cell of Y.OUR flesh) will fight against you, but they will not prevail…..For I am with you…..to deliver you. (Jeremiah 1:17, 18a,19)

It is time to arise. It is time to see the fulfillment of this scripture in the fullest, limitless way that God purposed from the beginning. .... the genesis ... of “live, move and have being”. ... ‘I am always with you’.

This is a time when we have moved into a corporate identity together.... as one.

WOW .... upon opening this letter I literally felt a surge within and resonance with our ‘(my) Father’s business’’.

This is talking about the smallest micro and macro sense of body ---- in our nature and essence of understanding what we are ... where we are from .... where we are going and ..why we are here now ..... and must behold with full attention and surrender to hear what our good shepherd within is saying ...

.. because it is transfiguring.. in a way in which we have not yet heard before. ...... to arise from being dustman into our true communion and connection ....of the fullness ..at the level Jesus understood ‘walking in the light’ ... to have being in the light, to walk in the pathway of light as in the “Christ” nature and essence ..by light. My father and I are one. I am in the Father and my Father is in me.

When Jesus spoke of God as father...... this in itself transformed his ‘cultural way’ of man ....‘living, moving and having being’.

-----watch a plant rise from seed, through soil and into the light and into the above and beyond ...with it’s roots hidden. ....transfiguration.

--- the treasure of life is invisible ... it is within .... it is everywhere .... it is here, close, near not far !!! it has nature and essence. ... it is presence manifest. unseen...... it is why the disciples ask Jesus ... WHAT are you doing .. how do you pray ... where do you go .... what is it you are doing .... how did you get this nature and essence which is exquisitely so above and beyond ALL I could ever think or imagine. ---- it is a season of mercy to enter by grace into the love that passes all understanding.

This word with us speaks of the one cell and the trillion cells. For the one is in the whole as resonant communion, communication and connection. ... with our Father within. -----the one and the whole. ----in nature and essence.

Jesus explicitly said, I of MYSELF do nothing. It is my Father within me, with me, is the presence of what I am .......which is present in nature and essence. ----- stay. awake and in stillness ....know what our Father’s spirit with us is saying. about transforming our inner nation with great love which passes all understanding. ------thanks . ------thanks Jane!!! for walking with the still small voice ....listening !!!!

Nancy, I loved your reference to Jeremiah 1:10. Who we are in Christ is the fulfillment of this - it's what Paul called being "more than a conquerer" ... from our recreated, made-holy spirit - we warrior-like root out, pull down and destroy unholy images of ourselves as victims of satan ... possible because Jesus cancelled the arguments against us, but More - we co-create with God: building and planting our new identity into our souls and bodies by the Word. To answer Dan, yes - you have seen your glass half empty ... when the Truth is that you are a vessel full of the Holy Spirit and power. Trust Him to lead you in Victory. Let the word make you bold. We believe & so speak.
The ball's in our court. We may not hand power and authority back to God, saying "get this devil off me" - it is our splendid opportunity to Arise and Shine ... let God be God in and through us. We just follow the Spirit's inner prompting - the Father within us, He does the work. We play out His Victory. Amen

PS... About new, Godly images - or Hope. Dan, I believe it will help your

This gift of a positive imagination is the blueprint which gives rise to faith.
Faith can only build what you have first "seen". We can hope great things because
we are LOVED by God. He is Good and He can be Trusted! Settle the Love - see what
He's saying, and faith will produce it.

To our brother in Christ, who is suffering due to his wife's MS.. You are not being negative, but rather honest about your pain and that of your wife and child. God so despised the harshness of our human suffering and brokenness that He sent His beloved Son to bear it for us. Since Jesus has already done His part, we offer you our deepest prayers, and cry out on your wife's behalf in Faith, which is the evidence of things hoped for but not YET seen. May you be restored in God's peace, which passes all understanding.

To Dan, Being tired and feeling the pain of loved ones is not negativity. It is vulnerability as you cry out to God with longing to see the manifest presence of God--His character of goodness, wholeness, peace, joy, love--come to fruition in your wife. We will stand with you, knowing that God can and will bring you, your wife, and your daughter into a deeper revelation of HIM. He is there for you and your loved ones with His own pure love. May you experience His comforting arms around you and feel strengthened as God pours His love through you to your wife and daughter.

This is a bit lengthy but if you read it through, I know you will be blessed. Many years ago, God gave me an incredible revelation through a powerful man of God, Bill Gillham, about the old nature vs. the new nature and our true identity in Christ. It altered my thinking instantly in many ways. Since identity is such a passion with Jane, I thought I’d share this with her and my Aglow sisters. Birth determines identity. In the natural realm, we were born human from our human parents. We didn’t have to grow up to become a human being. We were human the second we were born because our parents were human. Your identity was human. So it is in the spiritual realm. When we were born, we were born from our spiritual parent, Adam. That means we were born with his sin nature (we had a human spirit but it was dead to God, a/k/a, a dead spirit). When we were born from above, or born-again, our old Adamic nature DIED (the old man), and God became our spiritual parent. We received His divine nature in the form of God, the Holy Spirit the instant we were birthed into the spiritual realm. Our identity became exactly like the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!!! The battle within us is not between the old nature and the new nature, i.e., the old me vs. the new me. That would be a house divided against itself (Luke 11:17), and, of course, we know that God cannot fall. The old man (sin nature) is dead, and incapable of coming back to life again. Jesus Christ is the only one with resurrection power; and, as born-again believers in Christ, we have it, too. (Rom. 8:11) It’s part of our new nature. (Rom. 6:4-6; Gal. 2:20) The battle we fight is the same battle Paul fought in Romans 7. The bible calls it the power of sin (Rom. 7:20) that resides in our members (our unsaved flesh), (Rom. 7:23). Temptation comes through our old habit patterns that still remain in our brains. Remember, the brain is simply a body organ that will die when we die. It’s flesh. The temptation is NOT THE SAME OLD YOU that was unworthy to be in the presence of the Lord. God killed that guy when you were born-again! He’s history. You might argue that it's just semantics, and what difference does it make how it’s said as long as people know what you mean. The bible has a lot to say about the power of our words. I have discovered that at the depth of this understanding lies BIBLICAL SELF-ESTEEM (our true identity in Christ) and freedom from the self-condemnation we feel. As women, so many of us struggle with the issue of self-esteem. I did. The bible says that at salvation we were SEALED with the Holy Spirit of promise. When we received Christ as Savior, the Holy Spirit and our dead human spirit became one; the life of Jesus Christ was born in us (the only life we have, now) and that union was sealed. We are a SEALED UNIT with God, the Holy Spirit! It’s very much like the canning jars your grandmother used when she made her jelly. The jars were sealed SO THE GOOD STAYED PURE AND NO CONTAMINATION FROM THE OUTSIDE COULD GET IN! Meditate on that for a moment. Once I understood who the REAL me was (my spirit), God further solidified this revelation by reminding me that nothing unclean can go before Him, (Rev. 21:27), therefore; this HAS to be true. Dear sister, this is why you have free access to His throne room, and why you can run into His arms anytime you desire! In a nutshell, YOU ARE A PERFECT TEN! God sees His children as perfect tens! I am a spirit being made in the image of God; I possess a soul; and I live in a house called a body. (1 Thes. 5:23-24). I am NOT a body with a spirit and soul. I am a spirit being with a soul and a body. My body is not the real me. My spirit is the real me! There's a huge difference. The temptations come through the old habit patterns (not the old you) burned into our brains, but we can fight them with the resurrection power already in us. Everything we need to live a victorious Christian life is in our SEALED UNIT! This miracle happened at the Cross, but so many in the body of Christ don't have a clear understanding of the amazing things Jesus accomplished at the Cross. They suffer defeat because of their lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6)! When I share this with the women God puts before me, I have yet to see it fail. They are instantly changed. Their human self-esteem is changed to BIBLICAL self-esteem, and the victory of their true identity comes. By the way, when the soul lines up with the Word of God in our sealed units, it gets in on this good stuff, too. The soul and body is another whole teaching in itself. I urge you to take this before the Lord and let Him reveal it to you. He wants to show you so His Son will be glorified through your renewed mind and new behaviors. That’s the desire of HIS HEART. Think of it this way. We’ve always gone to Him asking for the desire of our heart, but have you ever thought that YOU could give Him the desire of HIS HEART? You can. If you want to bless your heavenly Father, then give Him the opportunity to glorify His Son through you and touch the hurting people of this world! To God be all the glory.
