Living in High Definition

We live in a time when the term “high definition” is spoken of related to our televisions and other media equipment.   High Definition, sometimes casually referred to as “high-def” simply put, refers to an increase in visual resolution that gives a clarity so sharp that you feel as though you are actually entering into what you are viewing.   Technology continues to develop and we all experience the pleasure of those breakthroughs.  Long gone are the days of Rabbit ear antenna’s and snowy pictures.

Let’s apply the term “high definition” in another way, a way that also has brought a clarity so sharp that we are actually viewing life differently.  It is the fresh awareness of our identity in Christ and the clear focus that follows that revelation.

Graham Cooke has been with us at headquarters this week and we have enjoyed hours of conversation.  Let me share a few thoughts with you that underscore our “high def” lifestyle.

“The Holy Spirit is the personification of focus.  He takes everything that belongs to Jesus and reveals it to us in life.  He specifies what belongs to us in the midst of the present circumstances we may find ourselves in.  He describes to us how we should come before God and how we should stand against the enemy.  Indeed, He is our Helper in all things.  We are never alone.”

“It should not matter how much the enemy spins around us in life situations.  Christ is the center of who we are, which means we have a fixed point to which we always return.  The Holy Spirit will always make Jesus our focal point for response.  The enemy is never allowed to determine our focus.  We use the enemy to define the current experience of majesty that God wants to bestow upon us.”

I call that a clear, sharp focus that never allows for a sense of unrest or confusion.  We know who we are because we know who He is!  We are literally learning how to grow up in all things in Christ.  We are tuning in to life from a heavenly perspective and we’re learning to live that life in a higher resolution than ever before!

Our language in every situation becomes, “This is what God is doing for me, in me and through me, using this situation.”   We are describing the purpose of God…and our own actions in response.  We are speaking out into the atmosphere the elevated status we have been given because of Christ and the permission to overcome with our legal authority over the enemy.

Enjoy the “high def” status Jesus came to give you.  Let this Christmas season be all about living a high resolution lifestyle.

Merry Christmas to all.

Jane,
Your comments reinforce what God has been speaking to my heart recently. In Ephesians, He points out that His ability to work in and through us is directly related to our understanding of His love for us. We must first understand our identity in Him, and then He will work "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think," not separated from us, but "in us." Praise be to God, who loves us and is molding us into His image from glory to glory.
Carolyn

14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Eph 3:14-21 (KJV)

This is a very good illustration of who we are Christ and how we need to walk. I just received a miracle from God recently and all I can say is Wow God is so wonderful. We can serve him forever, but we can never out give our God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The God of Israel and God of the universe.
Blessings to you and yours this season and always. Cathy

Thank you Jane, for this uplifting and empowering message. I have just had surgery for breast cancer this week. My prognosis is positive because we caught it early! But there is still the post-surgery 'therapy' to face. Through this 'circumstance' God's Holy Spirit has surely given me a fresh revelation of who I am in Christ. A 'high-def revelation! As I press into Him and keep my focus on His presence and power to guide me on this journey through the valley of the shadow of death, I feel His peace and strength in me as I stand in the face of the enemy and declare that with Christ in me we ( Jesus and I ) SHALL be victorious! This is what God is doing for me, in me and through me using this situation... just as you have said. I will fear not for He is with me. I praise Him for this new, sharper focus on what is really important this Christmas, and why he came. May God bless you and your loved ones at Christmas.
Dawn. (I thank God for AGLOW!)

Praise be to God our Everlasting Father. Ladies Jesus came and won for us the victory of new life in him! and gave us the Most Wonderful gift in human history the Holy Spirit. As we release old mine sets about our Mighty God, and simply trust him he will lead us to a deeper understanding of the spirit, and next steps. We can't see a gift if we will not unwrap it. As we move forward to the edge of what we know and understand, Jesus will give us more light and strength to keep moving forward. Then the things that were fuzzy, unclear, will come into focus. for its by Faith not by sight that we live and move and have our being in Christ. Blessing to all Merry Christmas

Thank you again for confirming the goodness of God....I live in an extremely religious area but my heart is so thankful for where he has me and what he has our family doing. I know that God has purposely placed us here to bring light in the darkness... We are so thankful for all of our family and friends---even those who don't know him. We bring joy to them through our walk with the Lord in how we conduct ourselves. We are so blessed that Jesus chose to come and die for us. How he chose us to be the beloved - we are so honored and blessed....thank you Jesus====Merry Christmas
