December 2006 USA Personal Stories

Kim Cain, president of Harlem, GA Community Lighthouse tells that the women of Harlem have been declaring that bushel baskets of provision are coming to them ever since they heard the word that was spoken to Jane Hansen in April of 2006.   At the December meeting the women went into a housing project to sing Christmas carols.  The day before the event, a local business owner said that she wanted to donate some apples.  Imagine Kim’s surprise when she went to pick up the apples and found 14 BUSHELS!  They were able to fill 44 bags to give away.  One lady at the housing project said, “I was thinking earlier how I would love to bake an apple pie for Christmas and now I can!”

Kim said, “This is one example of the power and fruit of declaring the word of the Lord of the ministry.  We are receiving this as a sign that there will be bushels of fruit birthed in the Harlem Lighthouse.  We stand amazed at the goodness of the Lord and are so thankful that we are tapped into the well of anointing that is flowing from the Worldwide Headquarters to all the Lighthouses of the world.  We are grateful that we have the privilege to be a small part of the bigger picture.”

Gena Smith, president of Tallahassee, FL Community Lighthouse and the women of the Lighthouse chose a widow with two small children to bless during the holiday season.  The husband had died just over a year ago during Christmas.  The mother is a cleaning lady who was not going to be able to celebrate Christmas this year.  She simply didn’t have enough to purchase gifts or special food for her children.

The ladies of Tallahassee began to work.  They purchased gifts for the children and the mother.  Instead of giving gifts to each other, they took up an offering and purchase a gift card. They were able to put together a food basket with canned goods.  Each child received 12 gifts and there were even 8 for the mother!  Someone even donated a disposable camera.

Gena said, “There was truly a feeling of Christmas at our meeting, not because we met in a house that was decorated for Christmas, but because of the family that we were blessing.  We have an awesome group of women who truly love the Lord and know how to show His love to others.”
