Jane's December 2007 Letter

Dear Ones,

Don’t you love the Christmas season? The tree lights, the family gatherings, the scent from special recipes that fill the house are all part of making memories. It is a season filled with hope as we remember one timeless moment in Bethlehem when God’s love came to us wrapped in a tiny blanket of destiny. How I thank God for that! How I thank Him for you and your love for this ministry! God’s love also wrapped up our destiny when we became part of His promise for eternity. To this day, our destiny in God is sure, personally and corporately. I believe He has positioned Aglow for an unprecedented year of destiny in 2008.

It is a destiny that began to take shape in January, 2007, when He enlarged our worldwide presence among other ministries and governmental leaders. From January on, God used Aglow as a Voice, not an Echo. For years, leaders have spoken words that promised Aglow would have favor with governments. This was the year we began to walk corporately into that fulfillment. I am reminded of Isaiah 9:7, “Of the increase of His government and peace, there will be no end,…”

  • In January, 2007 Aglow participated in a gala banquet held in Washington DC to honor our outgoing ambassador from Israel, Daniel Ayalon. Among those attending that night were U.S. House of Representatives’ Majority Leader, Steny Hoyer, and House Whip, Roy Blunt, as well as other national governmental leaders. That night, I was privileged to give the benediction over this gathering of 1,500.
  • In May, 450 of us made our 7th journey to Israel where Aglow, with 13 nations represented, was a vital presence at the first Women’s Summit sponsored by the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus. Held in Jerusalem, it focused on the global pandemic of the abuse of women. We were a voice, not an echo as we spoke out on women’s abuse issues.
  • In October, I was the only woman asked to speak in Jerusalem at the Feast of Tabernacles celebration that drew thousands of Christian leaders from around the world. Please know it was not about me. God wanted Aglow’s voice to be heard in His Holy City!
  • In 2007, we have been making Aglow’s global presence known on Christian and secular broadcasts with interviews, and with conference DVDs on God TV, Daystar, national and world radio. We are becoming a Voice, not an Echo!
  • In 2007, we added 6 new nations to Aglow in highly strategic regions of the world.

In November of next year, the United States will hold an unprecedented election for our next president. It is no coincidence that in September, Aglow will hold its U.S. National Conference in the seat of our national government, Washington DC.

In 2008, God is calling the body of Aglow to serious business. It is a time of greater laying aside of some things.  God is calling us to a dedication and a depth of holiness unlike anything we have ever known.

Coming from that deep place in God, together we can continue to enlarge our voice in the earth. We can speak out for those women who have no voice. We can speak into the lives of governmental leaders whose decisions make history.

Aren’t you excited?! The call on this ministry — on your life as women — is so deep and profound, its truth must penetrate your inmost being.

If God has touched your heart, it is time to see that destiny fulfilled by helping provide the resources that will give Aglow an even stronger voice in the earth next year. Together, we can walk into this New Year to meet His call. May you feel His love as never before, as He wraps you in a blanket of destiny that is yours!

Blessed Christmas & love,

Jane

P.S.  As part of God’s call on us in 2008, Aglow will take its 8th journey to Israel. You’ll have an unmatched opportunity to celebrate Israel’s 60th anniversary as a new nation in the city that is the seat of the Israeli government, when we all gather next year in Jerusalem!
