AFRICA Ghana Testimonies from Teen Aglow NAME: ELIZABETH ANKRAH GRADUATE
I was introduced into Teen Aglow in the year 1999 by my mum. My then Teen Aglow teacher who is now my spiritual mother took us through a lot of Biblical teachings. Being in Teen Aglow has brought me this far. There are these two aspects I want to talk or testify about - my social and spiritual life. Being a Teen Aglow student has helped me to relate with others in a manner I never did when I was not a part of Aglow. I can now easily mingle with people of any calibre. Aglow has taught me to be kind, respectful, sharing, caring, loving and very obedient. These things have gone a long way to help my relationship with elderly people especially parents, as they sometimes encourage their children to behave like me. Moreover, Teen Aglow has lifted me from one level into a higher realm in my spiritual life due to the prayer meetings organized for us. Before, I couldn’t pray for even thirty minutes (30 min). With support and teachings from my spiritual mentor, I can now pray more than three hours at a time. As for the word of – God, I do study it very much. People now call me a “small pastor”. No wonder I was warmly welcomed into women’s Aglow when I graduated. Therefore I say this to the glory of the Lord that I can now fit well into the society at everywhere and anytime because I had a good and strong foundation in Teen Aglow. I will forever say that I owe who I am today to TEEN AGLOW.

At first I was disobedient to my parents but when I heard the word of God I changed my life and obeyed my parents. I stopped fighting with my friends and am now telling them to follow me to church. I thank God for changing my life.

Before, I wasn’t confident, was very shy and I was in class five. That Wednesday, you preached a lot about having confidence in yourself. From that day onwards my lifestyle changed I felt like the Holy Spirit has changed my life forever. So now whenever I’m asked to do something I don’t feel shy. When I’m asked questions in class, I have confidence to answer all. Before there was this girl who I was afraid of. She always puts me to shame. I’ve studied her for a long time and to me she behaves as if she likes me but she goes around making false allegations against me. But when you preached to us, I took a different attitude towards her. Since then I having been sitting down with her and telling her to change the way she behaves towards me. Now you haven’t changed me alone but you’ve changed another person. I really thank God for choosing a person who is understandable and loving to all to spread His word. God bless you for the great sacrifice you’ve made.

AMERICASVenezuela - For 2 years the Aglow president of the Valencia Chapter of Aglow Venezuela has produced a television program (pictured right) called “Tips for Life From the Heart”. She co-hosts the show with her 19 year old daughter. The main focuses of “Tips de vida, Directo al Corazón” are salvation, biblical values, and interpersonal relationships. The program is reaching many for the Lord.Colombia – On May 19-21 Aglow Colombia held a conference in the city of Santa Marta. The Lord poured out a beautiful blessing. Women from Ecuador and Venezuela were able to come. 115 men and 7 women were in attendance.
