Cameroon - God has given Aglow Cameroon an incredible plan for reaching people with the gospel. Our leader, Pauline Forkwa, writes of the inspired design God has given her. “Cameroon has over two hundred languages and tribes. Each tribe has a traditional ruler who represents the entire village. Annually he calls the names of all the family heads in his tribe and pours libations invoking the ancestors to watch over his people. It is usually accompanied by traditional dances and animal sacrifices to the rivers and streams around. This holds the entire community in bondage and it is difficult to penetrate with the gospel. In 2005 as we were praying the Lord showed us how to penetrate through the children. “We come as a philanthropic group to the village head and tell the ruler and his councilors that we are children’s workers. We preach the gospel to children and identify those with special needs for assistance. Since they love the idea of assistance they always welcome us, so the chief rallies the whole village to come and listen to us. We use the opportunity to preach the gospel and eventually we carry out a children’s camp in that village where we lead the children to the Lord through games, songs, etc. for about 3 to 4 days depending on how much funds we are able to raise. We have already been to three villages and it is very fruitful. We formed an association for kids called Jonathan’s house and carried on with the experiment. l am very excited because with the new move of Aglow we will be able to plant Aglow chapters in many more villages through the children because at the end of the day the area is open to the gospel after each children’s camp.” Nigeria - Our leader, Olabisi Adeluyi writes, "The Annual Residential Prayer and Fasting Retreat of Aglow International Nigeria was held at the Jossy Royal Hotel, Jos, Plateau State from 5th to 7th February, 2009, immediately after the nationwide Aglow fasting and prayer from 4th January to 4th February, 2009. 101 leaders were in attendance. The theme was, 'Revive Thy Work O Lord.' It is also the theme for the year. Please pray for us. There is still tension in Jos. Thank God we held our retreat last week. It would have been very difficult to hold this week. Many testimonies were recorded. Let me share one of them with you. The Area President of NorthEast 4, Mrs. Lami Hassan, testified that she was booked for a surgery for the removal of fibroid. By the time she got to the hospital, the fibroid had disappeared- nowhere to be found. We praise God for this." Rwanda: Aglow Rwanda is committed to helping Rwandan women become role models of balanced women, as Christians, mothers, and also as wives. They also mobilize to help Rwandan women in rural areas to improve their social-economic lives as well as their spiritual ones. Their recent focus has been on the implementation of a project that was designed to improve the children’s hygiene at Gatore Branch by providing them with sandals, tooth brushes, tissues etc. This all was done in an effort to "tame the problem of hygiene from the grass root level." We arrived at 5 pm on the26th of June it took us 17 hours by train to do a journey of 442 kms then 4 hours for 170 kms by Bus. We were welcomed by the usual singing and dancing the Wedza style. It took a while to shake hands and hug more than 40 ladies who had arrived for the whole night service giving us sobbing time in with those who had lost their loved ones, their faces were glowing with love and happiness yet in my spirit it was hurting to see how some had lost weight and were looking frail, especially those I knew were on food supplement programs and A.R.V’s knowing that these are not always available these days. Some of these are our powerful leaders and those who have labored with us to keep the ministry of Aglow strong in this District. Everyone has been affected by the two years of political violence, which was severe in Wedza. We thank God that in Wedza, Aglow is still very strong, many have remained faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ and kept Aglow ministry alive. Help for Wedza - We observed how these people are suffering after they had lost everything including their investments. We heard their sad stories on all what happened during the 2yrs when the money collapsed. They came up with many suggestions for rebuilding, though, such as handiwork, poultry, piggery, rearing etc. It was great to find out that nearly every woman was able to do something in her village as the Land is very fertile and full of water and the women are very, very hard working. Our next step after this report has been read by all members of the National Board and Area Boards is that we want to write small project proposals to source funds for co- operatives, and individual loans so as to raise funds to purchase materials and equipment needed for them to start working on the projects soon. I see a breakthrough for us though not under estimating the work load that goes with all that it takes to get them working. México, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panamá held their 2nd Regional Conference April 24-26. Nearly 500 were in attendance. The central theme of the conference was “In His Sweet Presence”. It came from their vehement desire that all the participants would receive the touch they needed for their lives through the sweet, transforming and revealing Presence of God. Read full report
Mexico: Our leader, Eileen Pendleton, writes, "There was terrible flooding last year in Villahermosa, Tabasco (far southern Mexico), and the AGLOW group was affected greatly. The President's house was totally under water, and many others of the team lost furnishings, businesses, etc. The AGLOW women had shelters in their homes for those displaced for a whole month or more---it was just incredible. These AGLOW ladies, who suffered so much in every way, especially financially, invited Rosy and I to fly down there to celebrate their 2nd anniversary. We were the ones who went to help them start their group, and they sent us the money to fly down and have 2 days of celebration meetings, inviting new churches to know the ministry, etc. It was so awesome. First, that they had an anniversary meeting! Not one other group in all of Mexico has had that, that I know of! Second, that the poorest group (because of last year's flooding on a worse scale of New Orleans) came up with the money to fly us down there. Third, for their victorious and jubilant spirit in each one of that very united and anointed team. And fourth, as a result of women attending the 2nd anniversary celebration they are having a welcome party for a whole bunch of new women who became interested in joining AGLOW! Their group is probably the strongest in the country and now it will be even stronger! Isn't God good? God uses the weak and poor, and raises them up to be mighty -- in Spirit! I am humbled and so blessed to be a part of this anointed ministry of AGLOW."
Mexico: Report from our leader, Elaine Wilburn. Elaine writes, "We held an evangelistic campaign in the Zihuatanejo Garbage Dump (rotting seafood smell). More than a hundred humble people live there who are not street people. We had games for the children, toys, and an action film on giant screen (like drive-in movies), and fed the crowd posoli afterward—140—counting our team. My souvenir: a zillion blistery flea bites! Overall God blessed with many new converts for the church’s 13 missions and Bible studies.
Because of wide-spread violence in the country, we had a 6-hour Prayer Vigil for Central Mexico in the parking area of Morelia’s stadium last week with 20,000 Christians coming in buses from all over the republic. Tremendous and historical!
As Area Director, I just finished a 2-day Aglow Leadership Training Seminar for women from two states, Michoacán and Guerrero, with the help of two precious women from the National Aglow Executive board, who stayed in my home. It was a wonderful and exciting opportunity to train and encourage the women in the passion to save souls and help other women. I’m exhausted but very pleased.
It’s during these challenging times that we are seeing a mighty harvest of souls won to Christ. With many churches in the USA closing their doors and ministries having to cut back on their outreach due to lack of funds, I refuse to let our financial challenges slow us down in the work the Lord has called us to do at this critical time in human history."

Venezuela
Coro Women's March 2009 Early in the morning of Saturday, December 5, a feisty group of Aglow Coro women led by its president, Liria Subero, and with the support of five local churches and the Venezuela National Board, raised their voices like trumpets and marched through the streets of the most ancient city in the country in the Coro Women's March 2009. The sole purpose was to exalt Jesus Christ as the only and true God with the banner, "For Values' Sake" so they militantly interceded and proclaimed the planting of the the Kingdom of Heaven in the land. Stops were made along the march to cry out for the nation and its rulers, for families, youth, and children. The march ended in the Bolivar Square, where Aglow Venezuela President Nelda Castellano led praise, prophetic dancing and shared words of encouragement with those in attendance. Castellano urged us to reactivate the Ten Commandments in our lives as individuals and families. This powerful blow to the enemy was sealed spiritually when we repossessed the territories God gave us as inheritance. So in the wake of Kentucky... We continue to Lift Our Voice and Let it Be Heard in all of Venezuela! Venezuela: The Valencia Chapter of Aglow Venezuela is reaching out to the woman's jail in Tocuyito in an effort to bring restoration to the women and to their families. Paraguay: Aglow in Paraguay is living in a very special season. Our leader, Teresa Cicoria, is doing a great job, and the different groups are quite motivated. They have plans to open groups in a couple of cities, other than Ciudad del Este. The Aglow leaders are part of a cell phone network and communicate all day long. Teresa sends verses, short motivating messages, prayer requests, and different alerts and news to the leaders´ cell phones. They are currently organizing a 3-day retreat in a country resort. Mirta Juri Patrono, Aglow South America Director, will be one of the speakers.
Argentina: Aglow Argentina held a powerful conference March 3rd. Stella Maris Ollah, the Aglow National President gave teachings on how to be the light of the world. Women were set free through prayer and the power of the Word of God. The women held candles and made declarations of faith.
Thailand - News from our National Coordinator, Mary Rink. Mary writes, “We have had a powerful weekend with Joshua Mills from Extreme Prophetic.com in USA. A carrier of GOD's glory opening up the ancient port holes into the supernational realm. We witnessed oil flow from Heaven from his hands and feet which were saturated in a piece of red clothe. We were anointed with this oil and the fragnance of Yeshua. Great miracles took place, where arms and legs extended. He taught us how to perform chiropractic supernatural healings, and boy did we see. I was prayed for for my right arm was shorter than the left which was causing my shoulders to always have pain. The arm grew, and I could feel it grow as I was prayed for. So Yesterday at our prayer meeting in Star Bucks, two of the Eagles from my group had arms shorter than the others so we stood up and did what we learned and we saw the miracle hand of GOD. one arm was about 6 inches shorter than the other due to a brake when the lady was 16, it had never been set right causing the arm not even to be able to bend properly. As we prayed the arm began to grow and grow, and she was able to bend it into position, the actual size of the arm as in flesh began to grow to match the other arm....We shouted Halleujah!!! as the Thai people doing their homework witnessed the miracle working power of Christ... Today as I was returning home after Prison Ministry there sits a blind man singing into a microphone. He has lost part of his arms and his eyes have been gouged out. He is properly owned by the Mafia. Last week at the same time and place I told him how much GOD loved him. This week my leading was stronger. I approached him and once again told him GOD loved him. His immediate response was to thank GOD. Then I released the power of GOD by yelling FIRE!!! He instantly put off his music, raised what arms he had, and began to cry out, 'GOD I love you, thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. I love you. I love you!!!!' All in Thai of course, and he was weeping before Him as He worshipped Him, as we were also!!! The LORD is strong and mighty. He is worthy of all our Praise..." Japan: Our national board in Japan reports, “We had a fruitful training session this Monday and Tuesday. We are going to have an area conference in Tohoku Area, the North part of Japan on 26 and 27 of June. About 70 Aglow ladies get together to go to the area and have an open Aglow meeting to declare the glory of God in that region. We expect both women and men will come to the meeting to taste what the Lord is doing and going to do in that region through Aglow”. India: “Two ladies from the Aglow national board(Hilda and Mary) visited some Village Aglows in Andhra Pradesh. Hilda ministered the Word and God moved among the people, she witnessed three Baptisms, two meetings of women, one had 120 in attendance, and the other had 45 women. They boldly proclaimed the Word of God. A young woman, who was to undergo surgery for the delivery of her baby, after they prayed she had a normal delivery, Praise God.“

Hong Kong: Alice Tsoi, National president, reports that Aglow in Hong Kong has many outreaches. In 2008 they ministered to approximately 2000 people through prison visits, coffee mornings, orphanage, special occasions e.g. Easter/Christmas events.
Alice shared a beautiful testimony from one of the Aglow sisters. “I had been a Christian for more than twenty years before joining Aglow. Due to the many hurts I experienced in the church, I could not trust anybody. I had low self-esteem, despised others and myself. I knew God was Love but I could not feel it. Praise God for leading me to Aglow in September 2007. My life was transformed. He healed me, comforted me, changed my life and restored my relationship with Him, others and myself. Today, I am an intercessor, worship leader and a comforter to the needy. Glory to God!

Canada: On June 2 – 6, 2008 a group of Aglow ladies from the Edmonton Capital Area went on a prayer journey to the National House of Prayer in Ottawa. This has been the 1st Aglow Team to attend NHOP; significant in that Alberta has had several “prototypes”, or firsts, in ministries and events.
As we arrived on Monday, June 2, we were invited to a “Celebrate Israel” service commemorating Israel’s 60th Birthday at Peace Tower Church, where we were introduced to several MP’s and the Israeli Ambassador, His Excellency Ambassador Alan Baker. This gave us a clearer understanding that our Canadian Government supports Israel. Another highlight of this evening was an unexpected meeting with Lorraine Bastien and Aglow’s honorary member Anna-Lee Chiprout (who accompanied Aglow International of Canada to Israel in 2006). We had an opportunity to sample some wonderfully delicious Israeli treats and made some unique interactions.

Haiti - Our Aglow leaders and team from the Dominican Republic partnered with UNICEF to go into Haiti with relief supplies on February 11-12. The focus of this trip was to take personal hygiene items into the nation. A gift from Aglow Britain made it possible for them to buy the supplies.
They visited a group of children from an orphanage giving them the gift bags they had prepared. They also held several prayer meetings touching these hurting women with the love of the Lord. Most of the women had lost their homes along with nearly everything they owned in the earthquake.
Please continue to keep the people of Haiti in your prayers as the nation rebuilds. God is moving in a mighty way there, and Aglow is part of this move. This is a true picture of Aglow women reaching out with the hands and the heart of the Lord.
He will bring beauty from these ashes.
Dominican Republic: Aglow Dominican Republic held a retreat in on June 11, 2009. Many women were touched deeply by the Holy Spirit finding salvation and recommiting their lives in a deeper way to the Lord.

Update from Aglow France
We have been working with much joy and a good spirit.
About 30 Aglow France leaders and members were able to attend the International Aglow conference in Louisville, Kentucky. Our Aglow France President, Marie-Helene writes, “We all enjoyed the meetings. The teachings were very rich and one could feel the leading of the Holy Spirit. The international council was a special highlight for me during this conference.
Last November we had our training weekend for the leaders of the local groups. The theme was: ‘You are part of the Building’ from Ephesians 2: 21. The atmosphere during this training session was very good, and all the women really got involved.
Our next National Convention will be in Reims from April 23-25, 2010. We will have two guest speakers, Kathryn Baxter, and Jean Marc Thobois. Kathryn Baxter is originally from Canada, and is now living in France with her husband. Both of them are pastors near Paris. Jean Marc Thobois is the nephew of Mireille Thobois. This is the first time we will be having a male speaker. Jean Marc specializes in biblical prophecies regarding Israel.
We have 4 new Aglow groups who are in the process of getting started. One is in Auxonne (near Dijon), another in Loriol (close to Valence), one in Tours (in the central western part of France) and one in Reims.
We are grateful to the Lord for these premises and we continue to proclaim His blessing over Aglow France and over our nation.”
Latvia: Despite many harships in Latvia, Aglow Latvia is taking Matthew 25:34-36 to heart concerning reaching out to those in spiritual need, as well as practical needs. They are reaching out to children, the elderly, the poor, and depressed. Lasma, our Aglow Latvia President, writes, "Our ministry has called us to go to places where no one else wants to go - the weak, homeless, cursed, sick, old, and rejected ones. If we are not finding them, they find us knocking on our doors, and coming to church meetings." Read full report
Ukraine: Great things are happening in the Aglow ministry in Ukraine – a recent report brings exciting news of what God is doing in the prisons. Isaiah 61…He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound”Five outreach meetings were held in Odessa Women’s Prison during April – June 2009. At the last one on the 28th of June – over 500 women packed into a large hall where a professional ballet group brought a performance called “My Dream” - a beautiful story of how God can change the life of a sinner into a new life and the dreams from childhood can come true because of God’s mercy. A question was asked at the end “who has a dream and wants to have their lives to be changed?” Almost all the women responded and raised their hands and prayed with tears in their eyes. A similar meeting was held at the Men’s Prison in Odessa, with many also responding.Irina, who leads the professional ballet group, is an ex-prisoner who now visits different prisons. She is so thankful to the Aglow ladies who came to the Prison 10 years ago when she was an inmate in Odessa Women’s Prison. They shared about God’s love and mercy and she made a decision to serve the Lord in the same way - as a result Irina and her husband now visit different prisons with this life changing message through dance and song.WATER BAPTISMS IN ODESSA WOMEN’S PRISON - 13 women were baptised on 19 June Small gifts were given – books, liquid soap, biscuits, greeting cards.AGLOW CONFERENCE IN KRASNOARMEYSK– 150 ladies attended the conference on June 12 – 13, when Helena and Lidiya, leaders on the Aglow National Committee, and Olga from Zaporozhje, gave challenging messages and brought vision of the worldwide ministry of Aglow International. Wonderful reports were given from the ladies who work with children in orphanages, schools and with elderly people in hospices and hospitals. Pray for: Helena and Lidiya as they continue to expand the work and bring vision and encouragement to the women of Ukraine Lyudmila to be healed – she is an ex prisoner who is in hospital, and was baptised on 16th August. Albania: Our leader, Nexhmije Muça, writes, "The Aglow ministry is going great in Albania. We went to Lezha on March 2, 2009 to celebrate the 565th anniversary of the Christian Covenant that Albanian princedoms cut to protect the country. We were 24 ladies and young ladies and we prayed & proclaimed that our nation belongs to Jesus. On May 27th, with the Aglow group of Lapraka, I organized a prayer trip to a symbol city for Albania’s medieval Christianity, in order to proclaim that the same spirit like that of Nehemia would come into our history with God. On June 1st, with the Aglow group of Tirana I organized prayer trip at the same city that we visited with Lapraka group, to reconfirm our historical continuation with God. On July 1st we restarted the Aglow ministry in Pogradec, and we see this city as an open gate to continue our work of Aglow in Macedonia, given that they are so close to one another." Switzerland: Feedback National Conference, May 15.-17. 2009Theme: “God’s Dream Team!”Main speaker: Andreas Herrmann, Germany and Jytte Nielsen, SwitzerlandAndreas spoke an encouraging strong word to men about loneliness and feelings. Jytte spoke on the subject “God’s call to Women! And the difference in thinking and feelings”. Approximately 160 men and women gathered for the conference in a beautiful hotel high above Lake Lucerne. 25% were men - more than we have ever had before!

One woman, Jeannette, said afterwards: "Had I known all this about men and their emotions, I would not be divorced today!" The very next day she called her former husband and asked forgiveness for all she had done wrong in their marriage. He was deeply touched.
Testimony from local president: After my husband heard about God’s call to women and about the difference between men and women, my husband treats me much nicer and with respect.
A woman who visited Aglow for first time was sceptical towards ‘charismatic’ churches. In spite of a pacemaker, her heart was not well and she often had pain. The doctors had checked several times and couldn’t find the reason. She was prayed for at conference and rested app. 15 minutes on the floor. Very surprised she said, "The pain has gone!!" A few days after that she told her doctor. He too, was surprised and told her that her heart was working perfect now.
The last night one of the board members had a dream. She saw a lady locked up in a cabinet (wardrobe). She, the board member, in the dream went to the cabinet, opened the door and said to the women: “In the name of Jesus, come out!”. The woman stepped out. – The next morning, our speaker closed with following (after he had prayed for many, many sick people) I feel a person is here who needs to invite Jesus into her life. You attend church, everybody consider you a Christian, but you have never asked Him to come into your life. Come up to the front now. I want to pray for you. – Guess what?!? Whis very woman came crying up to the front. Our board member recognized her blouse! Translated and sent by Jytte Nielsen, President Aglow International, Switzerland

Aglow is thriving in the Middle East. Many are coming to the Lord, and lives are being changed. Due to security concerns, names and places cannot be published on the Aglow website. Please continue to pray for these brave women and men who fearlessly preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to lands so desperately in need of Him. Whenever you hear things on the news about these nations know that you probably have Aglow sisters and brothers in these places. Use the news for prayer guidance to lift them before the Lord.
Restricted Nation: Joyce Jones Moss (Asia/Middle East/Pacific Islands Coordinator) has just returned from a “first” national conference in one of our Aglow restricted nations. Because of the threat of persecution that our women could face we are not at liberty to say which nation.
This conference was held in a very remote area. During the conference the women were excited and blessed to hear the stories of other nations and how the Aglows around the world are reaching out and helping where ever there is a need. The women in this nation give all that they have to help their sisters and brothers in need. Many people that were devastated by earthquakes, hurricanes, cyclones or tornados have been touched as the Aglow ladies reached out with rice and other food products along with clothing and medicines. They are going into areas where no one from their nation has gone to help the needy.
The leaders in this particular nation gave leadership training after one session of the conference. Teenagers are ready and qualified to lead Generation groups. Women in their 80’s were singing and dancing before the Lord.
Some of these women came by train or bus overnight in order to attend this conference. Some walked for miles, others rode in the back of trucks.
2nd Restricted Nation: Our national leader writes “Thanks for your prayers. I want to share my testimony how the Lord protected me from the recent big blast which happened in the center of the city and shook the whole city. On Wednesday I had decided to submit my passport and application form for American visa as the process now takes a long time and the embassy wants the submission of applications 4 months before the visit to USA for this we had to download 3 forms from their website. I already had two forms but all of us tried to find the 3rd form but failed. I got very upset as I was determined to go to the American Counsulate. The next day my son and I planned to go first to our travel agent at 11 a.m. and take his advice about applying for the visa but as we did not have the 3rd form we could not go.
At exactly 11:00 a.m. just adjacent to the travel agent’s office there was firing and a big blast which damaged 137 vehicles there were many casualties and hundreds of people died. Many buildings were damaged, but the Lord protected us by stopping us from going there. The next day there was no problem in downloading the 3rd form. SURELY the steps of a righteous man are of GOD and the stops of a righteous man are also of GOD. I believe that it is through your prayers that the Lord is keeping us safe in these difficult times. God bless you
It is important that we keep the “restricted nations” in our prayers as the Aglow women are not always able to openly meet and share the Gospel with their neighbors and communities.

In an African nation in the 10/40 window, our national leader traveled to a certain city to support a lunch event for a local fellowship. 52 Muslim women gave their live to Jesus at the lunch. Please pray for the safety of these women as they begin their new lives in the Lord.
Diwaniya Arabic Television
The Diwaniya Arabic Television series started airing in 2000 prior to 9/11. The program specifically targets Arab Muslim women throughout the Middle East, Europe, North Africa and North America by presenting the Gospel of Christ in a culturally sensitive manner. Statistically, almost as many men contact the program as women. A major reason for the program’s broad appeal is that the program – in its Oprah style format – discusses many cultural, family, and women’s issues that are taboo subjects not discussed in Islamic culture (e.g., physical abuse, sexually transmitted disease, homosexuality, singleness). Within the context of each program the Gospel is presented. Those interested may contact the information center by phone, email, mail or text message. Upon request viewers will receive, program CDs or DVDs, Bibles, study materials, counseling, salvation presentation, connected with church or Aglow, and prayer. The vast majority of those contacting the program are Muslim. The six countries with the highest responses are Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Morocco, Algeria, and Lebanon. Diwaniya currently reaches over 120 million homes in North America, the Middle East, North Africa and Europe. It airs on 50 Public Access channels as well as 2 satellite networks. The program is also aired in Australia and New Zealand. Click here to donate to Diwaniya Arabic Television.

Dr. Victor Khalil is an Aglow International Advisor and Arabic consultant. America and the Middle East. While there I was introduced to Mr. P. Al Shaarawy. The phone lines were jammed, many including Muslims were calling. The show which was supposed to last for one hour went for three hours. The director finally had to end it, as he had cancel 4 shows to make room for the long broadcast. He also had to apologized to the audience for not talking all the calls promising that brother P. Al Shaarawy would be back. Mr P. Al Shaarawy, is not a regular man who was a Muslim and became a Christian. He is the nephew of Sheik Al Al Shaarawy, an Egyptian extremist, who preached hatred against Christians and Jews. He had a mouth to blaspheme against the Father, Jesus, and the Holy spirit. He mocked the God of the Bible. He portrayed Jesus in sexual acts with the "Mary's and the ten virgins". He often used filthy words. He was called "the incarnate Satan". His vision was to destroy the Bible, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and kill all the infidels. His books, tapes, TV and radio shows filled the Middle East going out to millions of followers. But Sheik Al Shaarawy, died, and with him vanished his name, teaching, and his Satanic voice. Shortly after his death , two of his wives, many of his children, nephews and nieces, and thousands of his followers, became Christians. They became disillusioned with his teaching. Some are in the ministry like brother P. Al Shaarawy. After the show , I hugged brother P. Al Shaarawy and said, " I love you my brother." He put his arms around me and asked if he could pray for me. As he prayed in Arabic and in the Spirit the room was filled with the Glory Of God. The teaching of His grandfather, and many of the extremist, did not destroy Christ and Christianly as they imagined. On the contrary, they pushed many of their followers to seek a better God. Healed by a beggar
Vol. 7, # 1 January 27, 2010
Fareed, a Middle Eastern man, was diagnosed with MS and severely disabled. His father took him as usual to the doctor’s clinic for his normal shots, but this time they had new x-rays and blood work.
His father left him by the clinic and went out to get some sandwiches. Fareed saw a man that he thought was a beggar. The man was carrying 3 loves of bread and a cane, Fareed thought to himself, “This poor man doesn’t have food for the bread, when my father comes, I’ll give him some sandwiches.”
The man approached Fareed and said, “You have MS. You're going to the doctor to get your shot and examine the new x-ray and blood work. Your doctor will not find any illness in your body, and you will be healed as soon as you see your doctor”.
Fareed marveled, and did not completely understand. Fareed’s father came with the sandwiches, and he told his father, “Let us give some food to this poor man”. They both looked around, but the man disappeared. They looked every where, but there was no trace of the man.
Faredd and his father entered the clinic, gave the reports to the doctor, and got ready for his shot. The doctor examined Fareed and the reports. They found no sign of MS; they all were confused and amazed.
Fareed said, “This beggar is no one but the Jesus of the Christians. He is the only one who can heal”.
And you know the rest of the story… Fareed is now a great witness after seeing Jesus and receiving healing from Him.
Jesus continues to appear to many Muslims today, with healing, and signs and wonders! Praise God!

Australia: On June 20th, Palm Island held it’s first public fellowship meeting of Aglow Australia at St. Anthony’s Church Hall. The fellowship was attended by 21 women from the four churches on the island. The meeting was also attended by the Aglow Bwgcolman Spiritual Advisor, Father Sip, from St. Anthony’s Parish. The evening was a celebration of the birth of a ministry that would involve women supporting each other through prayer, and meeting together every month to talk about how they can work together to help each other and their families in the Palm Island Community. All who attended agreed that something exciting is happening for Palm Island. Read Aglow Australia's July 2009 Newsletter.
American Samoa: Meloma Afuola, National President reports, “We are currently busy preparing for our National Conference here in American Samoa to be held in June 19th-20th. All of our speakers will be local speakers. We have reserved the newly renovated government building in town that is fully-air con and equipped; and it is centrally located and very accessible to everyone. As we began planning for this year's calendar, we applied for a $5,000 grant to the local Humanities Council to help us defray some of our conference expenses. We were so blessed by Abba when we received notice of approval for the full amount, (which is the maximum allowable).
There is a growing group of youths who are anxious to open a Generation Group ministry under Aglow. We currently have one on the main island of Tutuila, but its leader has just completed this year of college, and we will be scheduling a visit to open their ministry after the National Conference in June.
We also have two (2) to three (3) new candlelights/fellowships that are currently on the rise and have requested that their official opening be deferred until after the conference due to various scheduling overlaps.
Philippines: Our newest National president, Tessie Felicio, reports: “Me and Nicolie Ybanez, one of our new national leaders, traveled to Mindanao, May 19-23rd. We were able to visit Aglow chapters and met the Aglow officers in Davao City and joined in their monthly meeting. They welcomed us warmly and the next day we traveled eight hours by bus to the next cities. A meeting in Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao with the area board, from, Valencia City, Iligan City and Cagayan de Oro City. Thank be to God for the grace and favor and the timely message I was able to share with then. I believe with all my heart that the Holy Spirit is doing a new thing through AGLOW in this nation. Glory to God...
We shall have prayer retreat and planning with the new national board, then the Negros Island local chapters will follow later. We believe that this corporate agreement and time of seeking HIM will enable us to rise again like an eagle. The Holy Spirit gave me a word in Psalms 124: 7-8., that like an eagle we were in a cage, so confined in our own environment, so that our capacity was stunted. But the wind and fire of the Holy Spirit broke the bars that chained us , so that breakthrough is here again.. Hallelujah.
