The generations shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.

It takes teamwork! Luisa Fulgencio and Silvia De Rivera, president and vice president in Aglow, Dominican Republic (which shares a common land border with Haiti), and other Aglow members travelled to Haiti recently to give aid and find out the status of Aglow women there. Among other gifts, Aglow Britain partnered by giving $1,500 USD to aid Aglow in Haiti.
Aglow Takes Action in Haiti
It was a great blessing for us to share ourselves and emergency supplies that we brought with us with our Haitian sisters and friends, and also with a group of children from an orphanage. We stayed in Petion-Ville Haiti, but also went to Port au Prince, the Capital, which is largely destroyed. We brought in a carload of green plastic sacks and handed them out to women. They contained underwear, a toothbrush and toothpaste, antibacterial liquid soap, shampoo, shoes, among other things. The children’s sacks also contained underwear, candy, toys, toothbrush and toothpaste, a comb and brush, a drinking glass, shoes, and hair accessories.
Thanks to our Aglow sisters in Britain for the financial resources that made it possible. May the Lord multiply your income every day and bless them until about abound. Please note that although we were sad for not knowing the direction of sisters in Haiti, all is not lost because the women we met we talked about Aglow INTERNATIONAL. We gave them written information to be distributed to women they know. One sister said she is already Aglow! We are trying to make it possible for her to come to our meetings in March. Praise the Lord for this! There are many needs among the women we spoke with, as most lost their homes and everything in general. We will continue praying for the fair distribution of resources that nations continue to send to the Haitians. -- Luisa Fulgencio and Silvia De Rivera.
