Steady Growth Comes to Aglow Armenia

February 2009

“Aglow has taken root among us and before completing its 7th year has given ‘birth’ to a new generation,” writes Paro, Armenia’s national committee member, about the start-up of the first Kids Aglow group officially formed in 2008.

The first candlelight group formed in 2002 has multiplied into 4 Bible study groups, one prayer group, and one more group in the Nagorno Kharabakh, a disputed region between Armenia and Muslim leaning Azerbaijan.

“I still remember vividly, the first time I met the Aglow sisters, Doris, Malvine, and Lisette in Yerevan in 2000,” Paro continues. “They presented the work God was doing in different countries among women through women.” Paro began attending the Aglow meetings in 2003, where she found joy, comfort and affirmation. “I believe that Aglow women will continue to win many souls to Christ and with the help of the Holy Spirit, will help revive, train and set on fire for Christ many sleeping and lukewarm sisters.”
