Amazing Upgrades

During the 2012 National Aglow Conference in California, Area President of the California, North Central Area Team, Deborah Harrison, and her team were challenged to embrace the new vision and mission of Aglow and to arise to a new place in their Christ centered identity.

At a recent fall retreat they experienced their new upgrades seeing God’s provision in miraculous ways.  A decision had been made to have the participants register for the event, but to waive the registration fee. This step of faith opened the door to multiple blessings beginning with the retreat facility being provided for free! 

The evening before the retreat began, an anonymous donor notified the VP of Finance that she would like to cover the cost for all food services for the event, they simply had to give her the bill.  The second blessing!   Deborah reports, “We knew that God had something special for us and we knew that He would make sure that the bills were paid.  We stand amazed by the ways He poured out His abundance upon us.”

There was a powerful move of the Lord the first evening of the retreat. When it was time to close the meeting the attendees did not want to leave.

The following morning Deborah introduced the leaders of the many Lighthouses who were represented at the retreat, as well as the pastors from a local Spanish church.  She announced that the Area Team was believing for a Spanish Lighthouse to emerge from the church.  During lunch, two women from the church approached Deborah and expressed to her that they were going to start that Lighthouse – a third blessing! 

Hearts were stirred at the retreat, and the offerings were large – a fourth blessing!  Little did they realize that by making the decision to not depend upon registration fees, they were breaking old habits that linked them to lack and fear.  That step of faith brought them to a new place of freedom and empowerment.  Even the team leading praise and worship gave an immediate tithe from their love gift back into the Area Team’s treasury – a fifth blessing!

Returning home from the retreat, Deborah found a letter from Jane, thanking her for her Ontario conference offering.  In the letter Jane said, “Now is the time to arise to a new level and believe that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above anything we could think or believe.”  Deborah and her team are living testimonies of arising to a new level and seeing God supply in amazing ways.

As Jane said in her blog entitled, It is Time, “We have stepped into a crash course in what it means to be amazing!”
