left to right - Victoria Blodgett, General (Ret.) Boykin, Sandy WezowiczLeaders from Aglow’s New England Region met recently with retired Lieutenant General Jerry Boykin.  LTG Boykin was one of the original members of the U.S. Army’s Delta Force.  He commanded the Army’s Green Berets as well as the Special Warfare Center and School. During his last four years in the Army, LTG Boykin served as the Deputy under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. LTG Boytin is also an ordained minister, and Executive Vice President of the Family Research Council.

LTG Boykin was invited by the Rabbi of Ahavath Torah Congregation in Stoughton, Massachusetts, to speak at a “Meet and Greet BBQ”, and also at the evening synagogue service.  Sandy Wezowicz, Israel Education Director, and Watchmen on the Wall Program Director for Aglow, had spoken on the phone with LTG Boykin 2 weeks prior to the event seeking an audience with him. The BBQ and meeting presented the perfect opportunity for them to connect. At the meeting LTG Boykin invited Sandy along with Victoria Blodgett, Area President and the New England Regional Israel Coordinator, to sit with him.

Over the meal Sandy shared what Aglow is doing in the area of Israel and Islam. LTG Boykin was interested to hear about the work of Aglow and shared his thoughts on other key issues with her and Victoria. At the evening service LTG Boykin addressed the group on the topics of why he supports Israel, and why the U.S. needs to stand faithfully with them. He also talked about the contributions Jews have made to this nation, particularly at the critical time of our birth. He finished by addressing the issue of Sharia law’s (Islamic law) threat to America and our constitution. 10 Aglow women were present at the evening service.
